Devasena : A Virago or Epitome of Women Empowerment ?
I really feel sorry for this woman . Her whole life was full of pain, agony, and torment. Her own in-laws conspired against her husband for the crime he didn't commit: her monstrous and devilish brother-in-law, ardently lascivious for the throne, convinced his mother and inveigled her into planning the homicide of her husband; her mother-in-law's blind rage forbade her from seeing the truth and she easily fell for the trap. As a result, her husband was brutally slashed and backstabbed by his own loved ones. And top of that she was finally held captive by her inhuman brother-in-law for the next 25 years . Many movie viewers say that her and her husband's fate was the result of her arrogance and vociferousness; they malign and slander her character by saying that she is a virago, and embodiment of arrogance. But I don't agree with this, as being outspoken and forthright doesn't make you arrogant or a termagant. S...
